music: Consider The Stars (Pt 2) - David Sedaris
Nanashi
I've been here in London (Ontario of course) for a week now. It has gone by quickly. I've had a mega-ton of endless fun with Alex and her friends. London is so pretty, despite the crazy weather.
Also, I FREAKING love David Sedaris and recommend him to ANYONE who is looking for a change of pace/something different in Literature. *le sigh*
I've also ventured into the real, adult world (apparently) I bought myself a new cellular mobile device. With a plan. Well, more precisely, Alex bought it, I'm going to pay her back what I owe her once we go to a Scotiabank or if I see one on the way to Blockbuster tomorrow. It's pretty and has features like a QWERTY keyboard and just overall awesome. Payment is on monthly basis and I'm building credit...which means I'm growing up...scary scary thing.
Went clothes shopping, bought season 1 of Rome (OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG times a million), bought volume 1 of Dresden Files, and David Sedaris' When You Are Engulfed in Flames (I'm downloading the audio book, read by him, and am already in possession of Dress Your Family In Corduroy and Denim) and have enjoyed Alex's company immensely, despite our bickering ^^ I think I've gotten good at the "Art of Vegging". Relaxation rocks.
I'm also on my way to being a normal human being with a normal sleep schedule.
I'm almost done watching season 2 of Chuck and I must say it kicks ass. Casey is awesome, as is Chuck...and Captain Awesome (sounds a little weird saything this out loud). The female leads have definitely grown on me. Which amplifies my love of the show.
I'm also in possession of a ton of French ebooks which I plan to read to get into the groove of things for the school year. I must remind myself to send a message to Ryan Boss about the reference thing for ze potential living arrangements...if not, je suis le screwed.
Alex baked a pie and muffins. They are really good. No poisoning...........yet ^^
I find it immensely entertaining to note that I am le tired and am off to either sleep...or listen to more Sedaris. I hope I don't wake Alex up when I slide into bed. If I do....I'll feel REALLY bad and will have to make it up to her.
Oh yeah and today Alex, her friend Katrina watched all four Terminator movies (We watched Terminator: Salvation in the cinemas). They were awesome. I love the music. The scenes and the overall series, give or take a couple of continuity errors. ^^ Yeah, we kick ass. A lot.
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

music: My Perogative - Bobby Brown
Nanashi
Today was my work meeting! It was the most fun I've had in forever! I love my fellow employees! They are so random, diverse and fun to be around! Not to mention they are unrelated to any of my friends which is an awesome change because we're all so different and click wonderfully! I got paid...and now I'm poor again. Mostly because I had to lend money to my mom.
I did win the scholarship though! I won five hundred dollars in addition to my paycheque. My wish came true! We were all sitting in an L-shaped formation and Ryan Boss decided to thank us personally for all our work. I was in the middle. He started with Cody, who was on my left and complimented each one. I was last. At this point my heart is beating like there is no tomorrow. I thought that he was going to say I did something bad. He had nothing but compliments "Laura goes above and beyond...she always plans ahead and follows lesson plans to a Tee..." then he went on to say that he is proud that he hired everyone and said that he was going to announce the winner of the scholarship. "All of you were awesome and did your jobs but there is one who went above and beyond and that is Laura." Everyone started clapping (at this point I think I may have started blushing) Then him and Cliff (My other "Boss" in charge of finances) go on and list all the stuff I did for the kids (bookmarks, treats, etc.). All I could do was thank them. They handed me an envelope (my hands were shaking) and that was that.
We all got poker chips and the one with the most at the end of the night got an iPod speaker deck. There were no rules and we could be on anything. It was intense. I won a couple of games of Jan Ken ^^, random trivia and trying to get chips closest to the wall. There were only two girls, myself included and the guys were: Cody, Lavin, Dave, Ryan, Cliff, Daniel, Dayne, Joe and Eloy. So you can imagine...they stole chips off each other and at one point there were all in a pile on the floor. It was sooooooo intense! We played Cranium where I kicked ass, our team ended up in second though, ate BBQ, chips, and laughed our asses off with awesome music in the background.
I also applied for a job in which I babysit kids for 15 hours a week in exchange for rent. I hope and pray to GOD that I get it. I would have loved to live with Alice but OSAP screwed me over and is only giving me $6010....which pays for tuition and books. Not living expenses -_-. I'm going to keep the martial arts job because I love it! Even if I only work 1.5 hours a week, I'll familiarize myself extremely well with the Mississauga/Go transit systems. That is how bad I want to keep the job. I don't know how I'll be able to manage a "third" job but maybe I can work something out on weekends or something. It just means less sleep. I do need to feed myself and pay my internet and cellphone. We'll see how that goes.
I'm going to visit Alex today! That is exciting!! I'm scheduled to arrive at 9pm though which is kind of depressing, but I misread the train schedules, I want to leave earlier but I have to pack my stuff for the move :(
I'm off, I need at least five-and-a-half hours of sleep.
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Classes!
Jun. 29th, 2009 | 11:38 am
mood: awake...but not for long
music: Kiki is keeping me company...and talking.
Nanashi
This year was this quickest enrolment I've ever had completed with regards to my schedule. It's more intensive as well. I'm taking 36 credits (which translates to 7 classes for the non-York people). This way, I know I'm going to work my ass off and may have to sacrifice some luxuries (as in socially) But I am absolutely guaranteed graduation by June this way. I'm still debating whether or not I should get a job on top of all of it (I may have to, in order to survive) but it might be a little too intense. We'll see. I'm lucky for two of the classes, I already have the books...if they're still the same this year.
I'm currently running on three-and-a-half hours of sleep. I'm going to do some more apartment searching (my dream place was taken), then go to bed until about 2-3 and start making dinner. I'm addicted to a show called Breaking Bad, courtesy of Karl. It is so intense and pretty awesome, not going to lie. I pretty much ended up watching all of season 1 this...er...morning.
Without further ado...Voici mon schedule! In an ideal universe, this schedule is not tentative, but fixed...as in no more changes. Hopefully.
( I will not have a soul next year... )
I'm so glad that my Winter term is so much lighter than the Fall one. Classes everyday? It'll be a nice change away from doing nothing like this year. Of the seven classes I'm taking, five of them are in French. I'd better get reading some stuff over the summer in order to prepare. French e-books, here I come! Perhaps that is how I'll pass the time in New Brunswick. I have something to look forward to. I've also decided to take my JLPT this year, absolutely no exceptions whatsoever. I also plan to study for that whilst in New Brunswick. Academically, this summer I won't be lazy unlike previous years.
I don't know if I mentioned it before, but once I graduate from York, I'm seriously considering going to George Brown for a year to get TESL certified. I really don't want to do it through York. My debt will be bigger, certainly, but it's only by two years...which will be spent in Korea. Then I'm planning on moving onto Japan. I was also thinking, once I had enough money saved, I would go to the Montessori Teacher's College and get certified because honestly, I don't agree with the current school system. Montessori is just so much better ^^. Not to mention that with that, I open up the possibility of opening my own school one day.
In between, I would LOVE to take the patissier course in France for a year *drool* Then I believe, I can live happily. Travelling, teaching, living. That is my goal.
Tomorrow mother-dear comes home and I have my BBQ/payday with work...though with the weather, I've no clue how it will be possible...an indoor BBQ perhaps? I may be able to coerce my mother into being my co-signor/guarantor for the line of credit I'm planning at TD bank *sigh* We'll see how that goes.
All right, now I am off on what hopefully will turn out to be a successful apartment search, then a nap.
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Warning: Very first ranty/angry post in a LONG time...
Jun. 26th, 2009 | 04:35 am
mood:
angry
music: Tears (orchestral version) - Yoshiki
Nanashi
Almost every single person I know has either been "Twitter"-ing, "Blogging" or "Facebooking" and trying to convey their sadness in some media or other, on Michael Jackson's death. It's both epic, insane and goes to show the influence of media and pop culture icons to everyday society.
I also find it strange/ironic/call it what you will that Today (as in a few minutes ago), I found out that his birthday is the same as mine - August 29th.
Heh.
His music is awesome, catchy, and his videos are just as cool. I just wonder why fame and "craziness" are always so closely tied in together. Countless actors/actresses/singers/etc almost self victimize themselves because of their addiction to "glamour" and "fame". I'm kind of glad that I'm not a "Spotlight" type of individual.
Yesterday I had a bad day. From waking up, until about ten o'clock when Mirek and Andy left. Allow me to explain.
( Bitch Bitch Bitch...I'm sorry )
*takes breath*
I wrote e-mails to Carine and Denis...on Monday. They haven't replied. I'll admit, I'm a little sad, but perhaps they're on vacation or send their computer for maintenence. They may be absent minded like I am...^o^ Today is Kiki and Jan's last day of school, I hope they have fun. I'm a little relieved that Mirek and Andy aren't home. I need some time without drama (not to mention, I like chilling with Kiki and Jan) Despite my rant, Kiki and Jan are the best kids ever. They shouldn't have to deal with this either. *sigh*
I think I might be coming down with a cold. It hurts when I swallow.

Searching for a Thunderstorm

music: Silent Jealousy (orchestral) - Yoshiki
Nanashi
....So I totally started writing this at 6pm...
...Then got distracted. La vie is l'awesome.
So after scouraging the entire interwebs for what seems like an eternity, I finally managed to find Yoshiki's Eternal Melody I. Aka his first classical album, which is absolutely beautiful. This music is very soothing, bittersweet, and just a joy to my ears. I have been listening to it non-stop since I found it earlier this week. I would love to see it one of his classical performances one day.
I went on an epic bike ride today. I had promised the karate kids at Brampton Montessori that I would get them Japanese/Asian treats and I completely forgot to go when Mirek was here so I rode my bike. It was a half hour ride, the only scary part was when I was on Queen St. East...so much traffic. I didn't have a chain to secure my bike so I left it at the front and ran to get the Hello Kitty fruit filled marshmallows and Jelly straws. I was picked up by David, who is Ryan Boss' brother. It was pretty awesome. I got him hooked on Almond Crush pocky and the other treats I brought for all 30 odd kids in the class. I think this class was most enjoyable, aside from the crazy kids.
OMG which reminds me. Today in class two boys decided to kiss each other...
.........on the lips. Repeatedly. They were little ones, I think they were 5-6 year olds.
The inner fangirl in me flipped in absolute joy. But the reasoning and logic immediately kicked in so I chided them for doing that in class when they should've been paying attention. It was hella cute though.
The class had fun, as did I and they enjoyed the treats. I drew some pictures for the girls which took a while and then we made our way home.
Instead of making dinner today, I told les sibs that I would buy pizza...which got Janny Bunny to open his mouth to his friends who then decided to come over for a "Pizza Party"...I ended up spending a little more than I wanted to but at least the kids were happy.
I am so addicted to Alias! I am almost through season 1 Michael Vartan...who plays Michael Vaughn is the hottest guy ever. Aaah. Why is it that in both La Femme Nikita and Alias, both of the "Handlers" are named Michael, both are bilingual in French (with the exception that Vartan is from France whereas Roy Dupuis is from French speaking Ontario) and both ridiculously hot?
I think I'm seeing a trend here.
I'm totally into bilingual hot spies. Who are French.
I definitely need to find these guys in real life!
Nothing uber interesting to report. Alls quiet here. I'm going to watch The Hangover this weekend and hopefully see Jamie on Sunday.
I'm also finalizing Montreal plans with Alex, and seeing her on the 1st has me more excited than anything has in a long time.
I'm almost done reading The Vampire Diaries...it's frustrating liking Vampires now seeing as everyone is rabid Twat-light crazy....*sigh* It gives everyone else a bad name. I think I'll enjoy it as a guilty pleasure now. The book is not as bad as the Twilight series. I'm just reading it for the sake of the series premiering in the fall.
Also OMG TRUE BLOOD. Best. Show. Ever. I have Sundays to look forward to now. I can't wait to get started on the second book of the series!
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Lala should be aslee---oh look!----Lists!
Jun. 7th, 2009 | 05:43 am
mood:
sleepy
music: Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil
Nanashi
I REALLY should be sleeping....seriously now.
( Movies ze Lala 'az seen )
I think I watch waaay too many movies for my own good. *le sigh*
This week-end was busy which is exactly what I needed. It's not over yet though! The spa was the most amazing experience ever. The massage was worht every penny and I was a little sad that I didn't choose one hour. Next time though! Alice's company was awesome and we were total girls and squealed over many a topic. We stayed from 2:30 - 6:30 and mostly enjoyed the waters (alternating between the dead sea salt pool and the green tea pool) I highly recommend (girls only unfortunately) going to Body Blitz!! We ate at Montana's and watched Angels & Demons again (we got free movie tickets with our meal which was pretty cool!) Then we did some walking around through downtown, bought snacks and made our way to her house where we watched The A-Team. Murdoc rocks my socks off!!
I got to chill with Paulamanaa on Wednesday! We watched 2 Days in Paris, ate Dairy Queen icecream, and sent a package to Ana banana, and looked at pictures from the times of yore! I must write to her soon!
On Thursday though, I had the honour of eating sushi with Mikal Safo, a person I have been chatting on MSN for 5 years. I hadn't seen him since he graduated before I went to France. He picked me up, and we laughed and had a pretty good time! I might see him this week for bubble tea and AZN-ness (hahaha) in Markham. Which has me more excited than I reall should be.
Today I met up with Jeff Li from University to eat dinner at East!, across from Much Music. We had some miscommunication and ended up waiting a long time (we had agreed to meet at Osgoode, but neglected to specify which station...there are 4 -_-) We did end up meeting though. Dinner was great, dessert was even better and then we walked down Queen and Spadina where we both ended up purchasing Guitar Hero 3 (Jan broke/lost my other one) and we went into this bookstore and I bought The Vampire Diaries, all 5 books for 20 bucks which was pretty good. It'll give me something to do next week when I'll be a full-time mother for Kiki and Jan.
Today I'm going to eat at the Mongolian Grill with my Tio Yito, but not before our P-mall adventure ^^. Then at night, I'm watching Disney's Up! with Kiki, Mirek and Jan in 3D. I'm so excited for that movie!
I should be asleep!
Random occurence: I talked to Steve via facebook chat (or whatever the heck it's called). As in China Steve....we exchanged plesantries and he apologized for being a "jerk". Apology accepted. I move on with my life. It's not complicated.
Random occurence #2: Apparently I might be seeing Sebastian on Thursday. I curse my nice-ness sometimes. Whether or not I'll go is still in the air *le sigh* I'll flip a coin. Less hassle for me.
So I got my final grade for Linguistics: 49% = E
Translation: I failed.
Verdict: Take 33 credits next year. Aka: 5 classes. No big deal.
Problem: Resolved ^^ I'm no longer going to dwell nor care. What's done is done. I'll just have to work my ass off next year.
Now it's official: I'm going to sleep. I hope I can be up by at least 1:30 today. *runs off to set alarm*

Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Nanashi
It's June!
Let me type that one more time: Joooooooooooooooooooooooooone!!
Which is a most exciting month for me! I love the weather, the overall ambiance and the beauty of nature.
...Lala also took a 4 hour nap between 11pm-2am which is the stupidest idea in the known universe. So now I'm awake. Hopefully just until 5am.
This is what happens when I try to live like a normal human being. I FAIL.
Allow me some space to rant about my awesome, air headed boss: Ryan boss.
Today, after about 3 weeks he shows up to Shepard Montessori which is a a school in the basement of St. Catherine of Siena in Mississauga. I love love love the staff there.
The only problem I have had is managing 4 different cirrculums when there is only one of me. There are students who are from white, yellow stripe, yellow, orange and purple. It's very difficult especially when I don't know the purple belt routine/cirriculum.
So he looks like his patience is wearing thin and the kids are not helping this week, with Maya and Agash being all crazy. A kid sees his tattoo and asks what it is so he just laughs it off and says it's from a cereal box.
Then there is a new kid in the class to which he looks at me: questioningly and asks why he didn't have a uniform. I informed him that I let him know through the text messages I sent him last week.
His response: Oh *smiles* I probably didn't read them.
I almost quite literally, smacked my head against the wall. ARGH! Then I tell him that I need to take a week off because my dad and brother are going to New Brunswick and I have full custody of the kids. He asks why I can't come into work anyway. I respond honestly telling him I have no way of getting to the places since they finish class at 3:30. Then he begins to grill me on why I don't drive. Saying I should take driver's ed and the like.
*Bangs head against wall*
I'm giving two weeks notice, I've already scheduled make-up classes for the School in Streetsville. On Wednesday I'm planning on riding my bike to the Brampton school (which means leaving the poor kids with Jessica *shudders*) All I need is two shifts covered...one for 45 minutes and one for 30. Seriously.
*takes breath* I think it was just a bad day for him...at least I hope so.
As much I love and adore the job, it's going to be hard next year to manage, especially since I'll be living downtown...without a car.
So I might be a security guard with Alice. Still kicking ass and taking names.
It's 5:17 and I'm still not tired. *sigh*
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

nervous
music: Viva La Vida - Coldplay (à la butchered!)
Nanashi
I went biking with Kiki and Jan, then I played with them at the park. It looked like it was going to rain so we came back. Then I made fried sweet potatos served with cinnamon and sugar! OMG! *drool*
I cooked the greatest invention ever: Mango chicken wings, served with rice! My own recipe, no help whatsoever!
( Voici la recette! )
In other news: Lala commenced the evil OSAP application of doom. Which makes me nervous. I mean it seems easy enough, but then I'm reminded of all the horror stories and dilemmas my darling douche brother had to go through and I shudder in fright!
Also, I have to wait 17 days to see if I failed Linguistics. SEVENTEEN days! I promised myself not to dwell on it too much but OH GOD! The icing on the cake is this: I was FINALLY changed to French Studies. My enrolment date is on the 29th!!!!!! ARGH!
School! Why dost thou torment me soooooooooooo!!!
Random Funny moment of the day: Lala + Ken + Lacie...attempting to play Viva La Vida by Coldplay on Piano las week (now on le tube de You)....BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
...That's only Take 1...of 3...I'm sure that somewhere on this beautiful Earth...bunnies are dying because of it.
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Warning: I'm going to sound...very....very Hispanic/Latina right about now.
The greatest taste/dessert in the known Universe is Plantains.
Yup. Fried Plantains. With Sugar. Nothing too complicated. It makes the world seem positively incredible.
I finished all of season 1 of Big Love. Holy Crap. I hate cliffhangars! I'm downloading season 2...I hope it doesn't take a gazillion years!
Now onto Chuck!
I wish the days went by just a *little* faster. I kind of want it to be June 4th already. I need to get my *cough* finances in order.
...which, coincidentally, makes me sound adult-like *makes face*
Lala's June Schedule
4th = payday! (woohoo!)
5th = Spa/Restaurant with Alice day!
6th = Watch Disney's Up! in 3D with Mirek and les siblings
13 = Dinner at East! with Asian Jeff (not Chu Ming) I just realised, I know 3 people named Jeff!
14th- 21 = Andy/Mirek in New Brunswick: Lala and Kid duty. No work
23rd/24th (haven't decided) Eat at Mongolian Grill with Tio Yito and watch Transformers in the Cinema
Hopefully in between I can see Paula and Vanni!
I'm looking at fun Montreal Trip tours for when Alex and I go to Montreal! (I'm not going to lie, I'm excited!) I jut have to calculate how much we're willing to spend/ the dates and all that jazz! I don't know whether bus or train since it's a slight difference in price. I hope I can get Alice to come along as well and whoever is interested! I would love to take the train for the comfort/sheer awesomeness but we'll have to see *snicker* I'm excited!

Rants, Raves and a Year en Review
May. 27th, 2009 | 02:29 am
Nanashi
I think I bombed the exam. Whatever ^o^ I moved out of residence forever.
Funny, when I tell people I've only taken one class, they scoff as if it's nothing. I liked the class
This school year has been overwhelming, to the brink of my destruction. Thank God I only have one year left! Almost there!!!
Strikes, people, drama that wasn't mine, boys (yup I said it...BOYS) and other. It was a little too interesting for my tastes.
Realistically speaking, I don't think I'll be able to live with Jamie. I really, really want to but if not, then I'm looking on my own. No big deal. I want a place downtown! I love commutes, and if I get a small studio, it should be no big deal. Not to mention it would be very liberating and a nice change of pace.
I got a tattoo. Which is a random change of subject. Kanji for Evil. Very Fitting, oh so Me and has a special (yet secret meaning) I no longer care what people think anymore. It gets exhausting after a while. My dad hasn't noticed and mum is in Peru. I'm testing to see how long before they say something. Very exciting.
Which reminds me: this weekend was the most fun I've had in a while! I chilled with Alice. We saw Terminator: Salvation, then ate at Zelda's (twice) located in the friendly Gaybourhood, then did a little bit of shopping, and we then went back to her place to watch The A Team. Sunday we got the tattoos. She got one of the word "Soldier" written in the same place I got mine, dedicated to her twin sister. I missed hanging out with her so so much!
I have had a beating headache for hours now. HOURS. It sucks.
I work for two hours today! Yay! This final paycheque is going to be my biggest. Ever!
I'm going to the Spa next week as a celebration of: finishing school, and holding a steady job. Hopefully Alice and Jamie can come too!!
Then I'm visiting Alex. No exceptions ^o^
Alex got me addicted to Big Love. Oh my god it kicks ass! Next up is Chuck. Then onto the Korean Version of Boys over Flowers.
I should sleep...I have an early class tomorrow.
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Angels, Demons, Family and Formal
May. 17th, 2009 | 02:47 am
mood:

music: Like a Hobo - Charlie Winston
Nanashi
Formal was all right. I wore a red dress (which I kind of regret because it didn't look good on me) , Jamie made me wear make-up (I cringe at the pictures), and we danced the night away. I was basked in JaiJai's presence, along with Shaun, who (im my humble opinion) is a pretty cool guy. He was most entertaining. Asian Andrew was at our table, the evening was fun with him.
It was open bar, which made Jamie very happy. We both had 6 drinks (One Gin and Tonic, and five Sex-on-the-beach(es))
The biggest (most amazing) part of the night was Glen. Aka Number 12.
....aka the hottest guy in Vanier College (not even kidding). JaiJai and I were on the dance floor, busting our moves, when she spotted Glen (whom Jamie, JaiJai and I...among many, many, MANY other girls have fawned over since first year) He gives her a big hug and I was signalling to Jamie with my "OMG-he's-touching-her!" face, when he turns to me, recognises me (I doubt he remembered my name) and gives me a tight hug...
....and kisses me on the cheek.
I ALMOST DIED! OMG! I think time froze. Then we briefly exchanged plesantries and he returned to dancing.
I could not breathe. So I danced a little more than went back to the table where Jamie was sitting and we both squealed. Aaaah! The rest of the night seemed dull after that.
...Before that, we (Jamie and I) were in the bar line and this guy stopped mid sentence when we appeared. He literally stumbled and forgot what he was saying! (He was definitely checking Jamie out) We were laughing about it at our table when him and his friends sat down.
Jamie and I stared at each other in shock! Then the guy (whose name was Chris) said something along the lines of: "Wow, how lucky do you girls feel now?" Jamie and I burst out laughing. He turned out to be nice (and hot)!
I missed dessert because JaiJai and I were dancing...
...but Glen was MUCH better!
I definitely needed some SPF 12 after that. He won with a score of 12-0...pure OWNAGE!
I also danced to some cumbia/merengue and reggueton. Aka Lala's element with JaiJai which was most fun!
Today I had family over to celebrate my grandfather's birthday (which was on the 15th) Things started out fine but then drunkeness made Crazy Uncle and Playa Uncle fight, which then turned really ugly...then Playa Uncle drove home (while under the influence) with us unable to stop him...and he got caught by cops. *sigh* Ironically enough, the day before his son also got caught by the cops while drinking and driving...
My family sucks...except for Tio Yito (aka anime uncle)
We went to watch Angels and Demons. It was long...not as controversial as the first one and featured Ewan McGregor....
Who was by far, the highlight of the movie. He was sooo hot, and awesome. I also really really enjoyed the music. All in all, it was an entertaining watch, though I'm sure there are others who would enjoy it more that I did. The suspense was well done, and the theories were interesting. I would love to travel to Vatican City one day.
Today I'm going to Ikea with Tio Yito, then I'm going to a party with my mother...then (mayyyybe) on Monday, I'll go to Pacific Mall with Tio Yito. Only Time will tell.
Oh Yes! Jordamanin also called me while I was in the cinema waiting for the movie to start. We were fangirling which caused me to get weird looks. I smiled at them and then they shook their heads. I was proud. Lala? Shame in public places talking about Homoerotic literature?! NEVER!!! Buahahahaha She also got me excited for potential plans to see her in the summer!
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Oh man!!
...I handed in the assignment. With a legitimate doctor's note.
Granted, the work is the worst piece of shit I have ever concoted in my entire life but WHATEVER. It is handed in. I now have to work my ass off to the point of no return for the exam and then I am libre!!
...that's both French and Spanish for: FREE!!!
*does happy dance*
I watched the movie Perfume today. Seriously epoeple I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is into France, scents and some murder awesomeness in between. So good.
I'm going to be watching L'auberge Espagnole...and and and I am downloading Le Pacte des Loups!! Aaaah
Just a few more weeks of work and I am le done!
Then off to visit Alex! Woooooooo!
Formal this Friday! Jamie and I picked our dresses. I am so excited. Apparently i have to keep up with her in drinking *laughs nervously* we'll see how far that goes!
Then on Saturday is my grandfather's birthday. We're having a dinner thing at my house. Hella depressing yo', also on Sunday, my mother, her friend Corina and I are going to some sort of party where I have to dress up. Sounds like a lot of fun...I hope.
All in all these last few weeks are très busy...which is good. I have to remind myself to write a letter to Martina for her birthday in a couple of days. I haven't spoken to her in forever and a day. That must change!
Nostalgia sucks sometimes. A lot.
Peace, love and chocoalte chip cookie dough!

Lala + watching a Spanish novela...
...SERIOUSLY?!
The answer is Yes!
....I know this is a rare occurence (aside from random episodes of Peregrina/La Duena/Ramona/Las Juanas) which were a few of the ones I absolutely loved as a child/watched in Peru out of boredom.
It's called Sin Cenos No Hay Paraíso which translates to : Without Breasts, There is No Paradise. The first episode aired today (er...Monday) and I downloaded the book it was based on. The series is pretty faithful to the book (I'm reading it in Spanish so I'm ten times slower than in English which kills me. This is mostly because I highlight the words I don't know and look up/write their meaning down on the pages...an old habit fron France) Though the acting is not the greatest ever, it gets the point across.
Voici a little summary of the story, courtesy of Wikipedia:
The story is based on a young girl, Catalina, who lives in Pereira and becomes obsessed with getting breast implants in order to overcome poverty. Catalina decides to become a "prepago" (prepaid), a prostitute who has sex with drug traffickers in exchange for gifts, money and social status.
The book is well written, I enjoy it very much ^^;
Also, for the first time ever, the Novela has English subtitles!
Le Job was quiet, awesome as always. I usually have two classes on Mondays at one school called Bright Scholars in Streetsville. One at 11:00am and the other at 3:00am. The first class used to have 3 students (all aged 3-4) but two dropped out and one was on vacation so I've only had the afternoon class (which is all boys and absolutely awesome!) Since there was only one kid (named Rebecca, her mother makes me shudder) Ryan Boss decided that I would only have the afternoon class, since it was pointless to be with one kid (which I agree with). Apparently Rebecca's mother did not agree with such an arrangement and wondered where the hell I was this morning and why her daughter was not being taught karate. So now I have both classes again. I don't mind (it means more money pour moiiiiiiii) but I think it's going to be a little tough dealing with only one kid and keeping both the daughter (and evil mother) happy. I have my fingers crossed though.
Also for the Wednesday school (Brampton Montessori) rather than having 8-9 kids, I now have 14. This means that all the troublemakers are together in one room. With me as the only one to control the class...I hope to God I find a way to keep everything tolerable so I can teach or else I'm going to go crazy. Last week was absolutely insane...Some kids are sooo spoiled it's insane!
Most of the French movies finished downloading! I also started watching Antique Bakery. It's really cute and re-kindled my love for pastries/dessert-making. I looked online to see how much it would cost me to learn in France and the total was 16,500€ plus living expenses and flight would total to at least 40,000€.
....BUT it would be soooo worth it!!!
I'm definitely looking into that in the future. I would be in heaven!
I think now I'm more of an insomniac than ever. I went to bed at 7 am. Sleep is eluding me and I don't know why. I think I must go see the doctor about this. Aaaaaah!
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!
MUAH!

I watched Star Trek today.
HOLY CRAP! It was amazing! Ten times better than X-Men Origins.
Zachary Quinto (aka Sylar) stole the spotlight by far.
That's all I'm saying....oh and there is slight slash between Kirk and Spock. Beautiful
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
I want to watch it again!!!!!

Friday was Queer Night Prom Edition! I had the pleasure of wearing my pretty dress from Peru, along with Jordamanin, Carrie and Jamie. The music kicked ass and we witnessed the cutest thing ever between this gay couple. Oh man, I almost died from the sheer fluffiness! Jordamanin looked soo pretty with her bling and corset dress! Carrie looked uber sexilicious too!
I drank two sex on the beach..es...I also managed to stay in my heels for four hours! I refused to take them off because the floor looked gross. Also, it's unclassy to be shoe-less while at such a "formal" event ^^. I have stamina.
I was supposed to go watch Star Trek tonight with my uncle but we postponed it to tomorrow which is still as exciting.
Happy Mother's Day to all the awesome mummies out there!! *waves pom poms maniacally*
I downloaded a lot of lame boy band music. Yeah, that's right Beetches, I'm that awesome. Not limited to BSB, N*Sync, O-Town, 5ive, B44, LFO....Boo Yeah! I'm so lame it's awesome!!
I also read a cute highschool manga called Special A I'm going to watch the anime, as soon as all my cool French films finish downloading
( Lala's Download List! )
....it's funny how the majority of those films star Romain Duris. I think he may be one of my favourite French Actors, after Audrey Tautou ^^ She is just so adorable. I think I'll add Un Long Dimanche des Fiançailles to the list...once all the others are finished downloading. I need to watch more French films. I wish someone would watch these with me!! Aaah!
I have one more class and then it's my exam! Woohoo! Then I can relax!!!!
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

P.S Boy bands = addictive music!

One class. One Assignment. Due Tomorrow. It's on BoA which is pretty cool. Yet tedious! ARGH!
It will be done. I have until 6pm which is plenty of time. Just starting this thing is a bitch. I figure if I stay up all night till at least noon then I can sleep until I leave for work at 3. It's worth 15% so I better haul my ass.
...worse thing about the class: Lala has her exam schedule which is on the 25th
....
...........that would be a Monday......
...
...At 8:30am *dies*
So there will be no partying of any kind pour moi! *sniff*
The Government loves me. They gave me money which is being put aside for the visiting Alex fund in Londontown. Par-tay!!!
I get paid on Thursday! Half ze cheque goes to ma mère which leaves me enough to pay the following:
-Phone
-G1 <------OMG SHOCK! it's about time! (...hopefully)
-Formal
-Star Trek in the Cinema this week-end!!!!
-KBBQ!
-Captain Kei Kei's Present ^^
-Chillage avec Jordamanin!
I watched X Men Origins: Wolverine. It was pretty hot. Gambit had a New Orleans accent! I died in happiness. It was good but definitely not up to par with Iron Man or even The Hulk. I have become addicted to the new X Men animated series. It's awesome!
...watching the movie made me want to live up in the territories somewhere in peace. In an ideal world, that would be awesome!
I saw Jordamanin, Sexy Jen Lady and Carrie yesterday. We went to a coffee pub in Brampton! Can you believe they actually have a chic looking place in BRAMPTON?! I was most shocked. Jordan ordered me an extra large caramel Macciatto which was the most coffee I have ever. EVER, consumed. We also had Bailey's Irish Cream cheesecake, which was delicious but I was so full (and so wound up on coffee that I took it to go) We stayed outside after he pub closed and ended up talking for hours! Then we went to Denny's where Jordamanin ordered breakfast. I have experienced hashbrowns and sausage with maple syrup which tastes amazing....though sounds kind of gross...TRUST ME! We chilled from 9-2am or so. I haven't had that much fun in foreeeeeever! I didn't go to bed till about 5 because of consuming that much coffee. It was...interesting to say the least.
I also had a presentation to do for work on Japan on Friday. It went so well, the kids loved pocky and fruit filled marshmallows! They were awesome! I had some music and told the story of Momtaro, then I wrote all the kids names in Katakana. Apparently the teachers called my boss to tell him that they were extremely pleased! I ended up staying an hour ^o^! Montessori children are hella smart! They were singing in Japanese and knew so much about Japan already, it was awesome! We played Jan Ken ^o^
Hopefully this Friday I'll be able to go to Queer Night which is Prom themed with Jamie, Sonia and *crosses fingers* Alice! The world would be complete in my eyes if that were to be!!!
Then there is my final class next week and formal next Friday. Highly looking forward to it!!

There once was a woman named Laura,
Who eloped with the fauna and flora,
In the jungle she slept,
Until up someone crept,
And she got raped by Dora the explorer.
Hahaha, the juxtaposition of flowery language, rape, and Dora actually made me laugh while writing this one.

I am addicted to T.V shows once again.
More notable Castle with the sexy Captain Hammer/Richard Castle Nathan Fillion!
Got Paula and Tio Yito addicted to it too! It is just awesome!
...Ironically, I'm watching it now!!!
I've watched Fast & Furious, Crank High Voltage, Monsters vs. Aliens...and one more which escapes me. They were all awesome and amazing movies! I'm so excited for visiting Alex in the upcoming weeks.
...and X-men: Wolverine, and Star Trek!!! OMG!!
Work is awesome, which is what I wish I could say for school. I'm having a REALLY hard time starting my assignment due next Wednesday -_-' Why must Linguistics torture me so?!?! worse part is NO ONE I know is in/has taken a Linguistics course to help me...*sniff*
I just wanna pass....no high marks...nothing. I want this year to be Overr~! *slams head against desk*
I had a 1 hour shift at work today. It was awesome because we had a grading which means two things:
1. After six months, the students enrolled in Karate at Bright Scholars got their Yellow Stripe and presented it int front of their p-units proudly.
2. I got to show the skillz of my kickass all boys class who were sooo proud!
I also get paid a *tad* bit more dans le cheque de pay *whispers* It is truly an awesome job.
I have a ton of random little tidbit stories of the kids. I feel so cool!
I'm saving up for Montreal trip in the summer ^^ and hopefully my search for an apartment will be a success and I'll be able to live with Jamie for next year!
Formal is also coming up! Aaah! Things to do~! That's awesome!!!

HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE! *throws confetti*
Finally! Hopefully this crappy weather will not return for another year! Oh man!
I'm alive. Kicking actually. Which is a good thing.
I now have one class. That's right ONE class. This year. I'm a pretty accomplished individual. It's called Second Language Acquisition. I like it. The professor rocks!
Random musings
Marissa= Sea of Bitterness
I used to think that the sun and moon were a hell of a lot bigger in Africa than anywhere else in the world.
DVD's as boomerangs are pretty useless, but effective in dealing a great amount of pain.
Throwing things out my window in residence is a lot of fun!!
Questions I have pondered
Will the world actually end in 2012?
Why can I not forget how to ride a bicycle? (not that I want to)
What started the idea of piggy banks? Who decided they were to be pigs? How about Tree banks?
The idea of becoming a hermit in the mountains is sounding more and more appealing to me as time passes. I think I just might do it.
Presenting: Lala's Masterful List of Absolute Happiness!
What is this you ask? Well...It's an extensive list, accumultaed by a band of renowed scientists (aka Moi) detailing the things that...well, make me happy.
312 things to be exact.
Y'all just ain't ready yo!
( Voici ma Liste! )
....*ahem* Is this list done? Nope! Not even close!
Am I bored?
Not really!
Right now, life is tolerable. Which is all I'm asking for. Oh! I also saw Knowing with Nicholas Cage.
I now know that it is a sucky movie. Too religious for my tastes and the lame lame twist did nothing for me. *shudder* I can't think which one is worse, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li or this one.
They're both pretty bad. Watchmen is absolutely amazing. I like the take on Superheroes. Very exciting. I saw a BIG BLUE PENIS!
*gasp* I SAID PENIS!
...it wasn't an enlightening experience.
I must ATTEMPT to sleep! I have an hour class to teach tomorrow *le sigh*
Peace, love and chocolate chip cookie dough!

Quiet week. Had no class. I must get working on my take home exam due on the 6th. It can be done! I want to study somewhere else for a year...Aah!
I...need...to...travel...*twitch* It's been waay too long!!!!!!!
I love love love love my job. A lot. I honestly wish it was foreeeeeeeeever!!! Aah! Jamie came over and so did Karl, this week!. It was oodles of fun! We watched movies!
Vicky Cristina Barcelona....was an all right movie. I enjoyed the narration and the pacing, as with the characters themselves. The story was most odd. I saw the places I had visited while I was in Barcelona *sigh*
I also watched He's Just Not That Into You in the cinema with Karl and Ioana. It was also all right, Slow paced. It had it's humour but overall...sappy. Kissing noises are disgusting!
Yesterday we watched Woman on Top with Penelope Cruz. It is an awesome movie. Cute and light. With cooking! Recommended!
Next week Lala has to work on the take home exam. It's also dirty bingo and queer night! Also, Jamie's Birthday is next weekend! Should be fun! I also get paiiiiiiiiiiid!
Must force myself to finish this year! It can be done! Aah!!
